1 night on the street

PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO MINISTRY WORK TO DO AT THE 1 NIGHT ON THE STREET SITE ON NOVEMBER 15-16.

1 Night on the Street is going to consist of 3 live broadcasts that will:

1…Give you a picture of the kinds of ministries available at various churches in the city.

2…Give you a picture of the unique stuggles that those who minister in the city face on a ongoing basis…and the unique joys that come out of that struggle.

3…Give you an opportunity to call WCRF and talk with someone who will identify your ministry strengths, and help you identify the city ministry that’s right for you…because I want you to come once…and then keep coming back.

1 Night on the Street begins with a “Cleveland version” of Prime Time America broadcast live from West 30th Street in front of Trinity Lutheran Church from 5-7pm on November 15th. This program will feature many ministry representatives and stories from the “urban mission field.” I think these stories will challenge your heart, and fire your imagination at the same time.

At 9pm, a special “Cleveland edition” of Open Line will take place from inside the fellowship hall at Trinity. This program will feature a “pastor’s forum” in front of a live “studio audience”. Four urban pastors will talk about why they’re in the city, what it’s like to work in urban ministry, tell some stories of spiritual warfare…and some victory stories, too. There will be time for questions and answers from the audience as well.

On Friday morning, November 16th, I’ll finish the special 1 Night on the Street broadcasts with a special edition of Mark & the Morning Team from West 30th Street. I see Friday morning as “decision day.” You will have heard the stories…thought about, and prayed about how you - your Bible study - or your church could be involved in coming alongside the ministries in the city of Cleveland. Friday morning is the time to make the call…we’ll have plenty of volunteers who are familiar with dozens of urban ministries ready to help you…and plenty of guests whose ministries need the volunteers!
